Most Students, Faculty, and Staff have to keep two separate sets of log-ins handy at The Prep. One for their Google Account which controls Email, Drive Storage, Calendars, Chromebooks, and more. The other is for Blackbaud, which is currently the Schools Data Management and Learning Management platform.
Starting now, you will now be able to sign into Blackbaud using your Google Account. This means, that you will only have to remember one login/password for all Prep Services. Blackbaud ID enables each user at your school to access your Blackbaud products and services — such as Education Management, Raiser's Edge NXT, Tuition Management, the K-12 user community, and more — with a single email address and password.
Follow the instructions below to complete the simple conversion process.
You will need to have your Google Login (Email Login) with you before starting this process. Starting this process without knowing your Google (Email) password can result in errors. If you are unsure of your Google password, please contact Technology Services before initiating this process.

Part One: Clearing your Browsing Data
It is important to clear out your browsing data before beginning this process. If Browsing Data is not cleaned from your browser, Chrome may attempt to force Blackbaud to log in with your old credentials.
The instructions below are for Google Chrome, which is the suggested default browser at The Prep. For other browsers please see instructions for Firefox and for Microsoft Edge.
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More (the three dots)
- Click More tools and then Clear browsing data.
- Choose the "Advanced" tab
- Choose "All time".
- Select all checkboxes.
- Click Clear data.

Part Two: Merging Blackbaud with Google
1. Accept the Connection Invitation
You will receive an email invitation with the subject “Connect to {School Name}”. Click on the Accept Invitation button to open the Signup page.
2. Leave your E-Mail address in the top box, and click on "Sign up with Google"
You will be brought to a Blackbaud administration page with a form. Your @sjprep email will be located in the top box. Please leave this email address there. Do not fill out any of the other boxes in the form. Scroll down to the bottom, and click on the box with the Google logo that says "Sign up with Google"
The first time you sign in with Google you will receive a message that your account is being converted. Once you click the "Sign up with Google" button you will be brought to a regular Google Authentication sign-in.
3. Sign-In with your Google Account as normal
The next few steps are to sign in with your Google Account the same way that you normally sign in with Google on any other device for any other service. You will be prompted to enter your full @sjprep.org email account. You will be prompted for your Google password. This is the password you currently use for your email.
You may also be prompted to follow through with Google's Multi-Factor Authentication process. This means that a text message may be sent to your phone with a code to enter for verification.

4. The process is complete
You can now log in to Blackbaud with your Google Account, as you would for all other Google Services.
FAQ: Potential Questions
I did not receive the invitation to connect by email?
Make sure to check your spam filter. the email is coming from Blackbaud and may be marked as [External].
Otherwise, please contact Technology Services so that a second attempt can be sent out to you.
Why can't I log in like I used to? My username is already in the username box?
Make sure that you are typing your full @sjprep.org email in the username box when you attempt to log in. If you type in your full email, you will be re-directed to a Sign in with Google page after clicking "Next".
If you only type in your first initial and last name, without your @sjprep.org suffix, it will give you an error and you won't be able to login correctly.
I have forgotten my password or I have been locked out of Blackbaud? Where can I go for help?
Your Blackbaud login is now one with Google. You can see Technology Services regarding this problem. Please email support@sjprephawks.org, call 215-978-1990, or stop by the IT Office on the Second Floor across from Room 207.
