Basic Chromebook Troubleshooting
First Steps
The Chromebook is mainly web-based, and the following will resolve most issues.
Clear the browsing cache and relaunch the Chrome browser. If the first step doesn’t resolve the issue, go on to step two.
Shut down and restart the Chromebook (this will also apply important updates that may resolve the issue). If the second step doesn’t resolve the issue, go on to step three.
Remove the student profile from the Chromebook and then re-add it.
Next Steps
The last step is to perform a device powerwash, also known as a full reset. This will factory reset your device and repair all software-related problems. If a power wash does not resolve your issue, your device may need to be seen by the IT Department. Please report to the Deans's Office so you can receive a loaner and your device can be repaired.
